Congratulations Under 17s ~ SIRU Premiers 2012
Welcome!
The Waratahs Rugby Club was formed on 2 March 1959 and is characterised by a strong sense of tradition and camaraderie, a desire to play competitive rugby and a desire to provide members with the opportunity to forge life-long friendships and enjoy a great social life. The Club has a strong Old Boy’s Association and supporter base as well as the support of many local businesses, including over 30 years association with Romano’s Hotel. The Club also conducts an annual golf day to provide support to injured player, Chris Cameron. The Club fields teams in U17s, 3rd Grade, 2nd Grade and 1st Grade teams.
The Waratahs, once again, had a very successful year in 2011 both on and off the paddock. On the paddock our 1st Grade were 2011 Premiers and Minor Premiers and our 2nd Grade Premiers. Our Under 17s and 3rds were finalists. Many players in the Under 17s and Seniors represented the Zone throughout the season.
Off the paddock the Club once again conducted a very successful Golf Day to raise funds to assist Chris Cameron who suffered serious injuries in 2003 whilst playing for the Waratahs. Chris is a ventilated assisted quadriplegic.
Our Club is proud to be associated with the following
